John is a very skilful, empathetic & caring therapist. He has exceptional listening abilities which enables him to identify core issues in a very short time period. He creates a safe & nurturing space where his clients feel comfortable. My partner & I feel very confident that John has the necessary skills to empower us to work through our personal challenges and help us create the strong loving relationship we both feel we deserve.
My experience with John’s counselling was eye opening. John has a wealth of experience and knowledge. He helped me to understand the root cause of my issues and made me feel at ease with empathy and compassion. He helped me to accept some hard choices and guided me to the realisation that those choices were in the best interest, for my wellbeing and mental health. It was my first session with John and I will continue to utilise his service in the future.
John is person who can feel your pain and is there to help and guide you what’s best. The environment is relaxed and calm. Even though I cried John made me feel calm. I would highly recommend John thank you again I look forward to my next session.
Today I went to Johns place, for the first time. I am mature age, and having only been to one other councillor in my life, I was hoping that he would be good. I know I need help, I've had some tough things to navigate in life so far, and I'm in some heavy weather right now. I left feeling much better, and starting to make a list of the next things for us to discuss. He was relaxing, clearly experienced, and competent. Thank you John.
First time meeting John Although I spent most of our session explaining my life so far he had a positive and understanding response and also left me questioning myself in a good way.
First time ever going to a councillor , and very unsure ! , but all I can say is that John made me feel at ease straight away . His compassion , warmth , knowledge , has more than exceeded my high expectations and after one session has finally put me on the right path for the beginning of the rest of my life , looking forward to meeting with him again . Highly recommend

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation of an appointment via this website with more than 24 hours notice carries no penalty with reimbursement of the session fee (less the credit card transaction fee).

Rescheduling an appointment via this website on 2 occasions at anytime up until the original session time carries no penalty with the fee transferred to the rescheduled session. This applies to 2 rescheduled sessions only. On the 3rd rescheduled session a new payment is required and no refund is applied.

Cancellation (or non attendance) of an appointment with less than 24 hours notice carries the penalty of no refund of the session fee.

Please note that calling or texting a cancellation or rescheduling does not cancel or reschedule the appointment. The cancellation or rescheduling must be completed via this website. Also, while my system endeavours to remind you of your appointments through email and SMS reminders, these should not be relied upon, and it is your responsibility to remember appointments you have made.

Policy Rationale

Sometimes there are good reasons for cancelling appointments. However, unlike brief medical appointments, it is impracticable to fill a counselling appointment at short notice. If you consider the overhead costs associated with private practice, then I hope you can appreciate why the appointment fee remains for late cancellations and missed appointments.

(The Office of Fair Trading states that a business is within its rights to charge a cancellation or “no-show” fee for appointments, so long as this has been communicated to a new patient or customer before making the appointment.)

Earlier session available alert

When booking a session and ticking the box to alert you to an earlier session, if a cancellation occurs, you and all other clients that have selected the option will receive an email and SMS offering the opportunity. First to reschedule to the new opening on the website will secure the session.
